Sliding & Folding Doors
The great advantage of this type of door is that it can operated within the door opening with little or no requirement for head room, other than the top guide track which suspends the door.
The bottom guide track is normally set into and finished flush at floor level. The door curtain is constructed as a single or two part structure (depending on door opening width).
It is not limited on width by length of panel section or lath, as the roller shutter and sectional overhead door structure are. The curtain is constructed from vertical steel sections or “leaves” joined to each other by heavy duty hinges which are then mounted onto a steel picket expanding frame. This type of design is extremely strong and secure and will endure high wind pressures.
This type of door is more common in manually operated on a pus/pull basis, but can also be power operated for the larger structures such as Aircraft hangars or Ship Building Applications. They can be easily fitted with vision panels, safety edge systems and a range of other products normally associated with industrial doors. Normally supplied in single skin but can be designed with insulated leaves, finishes available are Galvanised Steel, Plastisol Coated Steel or Powder Coating.
